Well, after all the grief I got (from relatives mainly) about picking up an ear of sweet corn and eating it for supper yesterday, Valda decided to do the right thing and bought some ears today.  We had them for supper this evening, and they were good, but the one I picked up off the highway – it was exceptional! The only problem with it was that it was pretty small and there was only one.  I saw some today too, but they were all brown and dried out.  I left them on the road, but the thought of putting them in a casserole did cross my mind.
